Hi, I’m Tom — founder of Qi Gong with Tom, based in Menorca and working with people and teams all over the world.

I help individuals and organisations improve energy, focus, posture, and overall wellbeing through practical, accessible Qi Gong. These sessions are simple, effective, and designed for real life — no equipment, no prior experience, and no need to leave your desk (unless you want to).

Whether I’m working 1-to-1, with small teams, or delivering sessions for global companies, the goal is the same: to help people feel better in their bodies and minds so they can show up with more clarity, calm, and resilience — at work and beyond.

This isn’t about stretching in silence or learning ancient philosophy (unless you’re into that). It’s about giving people tools they can actually use: short, uplifting sessions that boost focus before meetings, improve posture for remote workers, reduce stress, and encourage better habits over time.

My Journey Into Qi Gong

I started my Qi Gong journey to improve my mind-body connection and balance after having a stroke in December 2017. Thankfully I have now made a full recovery from the rare genetic issue called an AVM that caused the haemorrhage. 

I have worked in the health industry as a strength coach for nearly three decades now, but Qi Gong added another dimension to my health and wellness focus. 

Qi Gong balances my strength and cardio training and helps give me clarity like meditation does for those who practice it.

A benefit that you may feel immediately from doing a Qi Gong session is feeling energised yet relaxed at the same time. 

If you are someone who is time poor with a real desire to make the most of the time you have then my 20 minute Qi Gong sessions could be your missing link. 

I am a 'Holden Qi Gong certified practitioner', and every Saturday morning, at 8 AM London (9 AM Madrid), I run a live 20-minute Qi Gong practice, which you can join from anywhere in the World.

What is Qi Gong?
Qi Gong, QiGong, Chi Gong with Tom
Qi Gong ("chee-gong") is a 5,000-year-old practice and an eastern secret to longevity.

'Qi' means life force energy, and 'Gong' means work or skill. So by practising 'Qi Gong', we develop skills in working with our own energy. 

Qi Gong is actually the most practised exercise in the world! It actually gave birth to Tai Chi, Kung Fu and many other martial arts. 

Qi Gong is a blend of exercises incorporating mobility, strength, breath and intention work. Intention would be likened to a form of meditative state by some and comes through continued practice (gong).

With Qi Gong, you need no equipment. The only requirement is clothes that you can move freely in.

My 4-year-old daughter Olive can do it, and so can 104-year-olds; anyone from world-class athletes to the more sedentary benefit from it.

Q: When are the live sessions?
A: The Live sessions are every Saturday morning 8:00am GMT (London) / 9:00am CET (Madrid) via Zoom

Q: What if I can't make the live session?
A: If you can't make the live session, a recording will be sent through on the same day as the live so you can enjoy it at a more convenient time, as many times as you wish, for up to 2 weeks after the live session.

I recommend you set an appointment in your diary for when you can do it. Making it the same time every week works really well for me when I want to embed a new habit into my routine, so this might be helpful for you too?

This then becomes your 'work in' time for yourself and ensures you make You a priority in your week.
Q: What do I need to practice Qi Gong?
A: Nothing! Just yourself, a Wi-Fi connection and a bit of space so you can stretch your arms in front and on either side of you.
Q: How many times should I repeat the session outside of the live class?
A: I'd recommend doing the session at least once more during the week so you're practising the routine twice weekly to start feeling the benefits internally.
Q: Is there a FB group?
A: Yes, there's 'Qi Gong with Tom' Facebook group, which, naturally, joining the group is optional (I know Facebook isn't for everyone).

Within those safe walls, you can ask questions, keep one another accountable, and do anything else you feel adds value to the collective.

 I wanted to create an easy way for everyone in the 'Qi Gong with Tom' community to ask questions and get to know one another outside of the live sessions, and Facebook groups can be a great way to do that.

Q: If I want to cancel, how do I cancel?
If you no longer wish to subscribe to Qi Gong with Tom, you can cancel your membership anytime. Email tom@qigongwithtom.com, and we will cancel your subscription so no further payments are taken.

You will continue to have access to the live classes and replays until your current billing cycle ends.
Q: Who should not do Qi Gong
To be safe, pregnant women in their third trimester and anyone with a chronic medical condition who could have restrictions on certain exercises and body movements should check with their healthcare provider before starting a Qi Gong practice.
